F/T ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR – Responsible supervisory work to oversee the operation of utility billing and customer service function within the Administrative Service Department. This position performs complex accounting and finance related analyses and provides advice on accounting matters based on a thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, procedures and practices. Work is performed under the supervision of the Accounting Manager. Proven customer service experience with the ability to resolve problems and use sound judgment on a regular basis. Graduation from accredited college with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance Management or Public Administration is preferred. Four (4) years of experience in governmental or non-profit accounting with two (2) years of supervisory experience. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum, qualifications. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License. Entry $46,528.027. Open until filled. The Prescription Discount Card is made available to residents by the City of Gulfport in collaboration with the National League of Cities (NLC) and is made possible through The City of Gulfport membership in NLC.

The card is FREE to all Gulfport residents, regardless of age, income or existing health insurance. By using this card you may save an average of 20% off the regular retail price of prescription drugs at participating pharmacies.
