The City Charter requires that the City Manager annually propose a budget to City Council by July 15th for its consideration and adoption prior to September 30th. The City Manager’s Fiscal Year 2018‐2019 Operating Budget must also fulfill the requirements of Florida Statute 166.241 that stipulates that the amount available from taxation and other sources, including amounts carried over from prior fiscal years, must equal the total appropriations for expenditures and reserves. The annual budget serves as the foundation for the City’s future financial planning and administrative controls.
