How do I request a book, DVD, or other item?
Visit the library catalog. You may type the author, title, or keyword in the search box to locate an item.
To place your order, call (727-893-1074) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) the Library to place your request. Please provide your library card number, name, and title and format (DVD, book, large print, etc.) of the item when you make your request. Please be aware that if you would like an item transferred from another library that it may take longer due to a back log of items being shipped between locations.
Depending on availability, requested materials may be available as early as next day pick-up. You will be notified via a phone call or email when your items are ready for pick-up.
How can I get a form or document from the internet?
We know this a difficult time to be without library services. If you require reemployment paperwork (available in English, Spanish, or Creole), IRS forms, library card application, or other common forms, please contact reference at (727) 893-1073 or email email@example.com.
How can I print something from my email?
We will also have printing services available via your email. If you require print outs of up to five (5) pages we will print them for you without charge at this time. To print, please email or forward your document to firstname.lastname@example.org and wait for a confirmation email (remember to check your spam or junk mail for confirmation email.) When you receive confirmation, call (727) 893-1073, provide a staff member with your email address and we will print out your papers.
How do I ask a question or get assistance with research or reference?
You may speak to a reference librarian Monday – Friday 10:00AM – 7:00PM and Saturday 10:00AM – 4:00PM to assist you with additional reference questions. We can provide assistance downloading and using Overdrive, HOOPLA, and our other digital services. Please call (727) 893-1073 to speak to a reference librarian.
How do I pick up items or paperwork when they are ready?
Items will be available in the parking lot of the Gulfport Public Library, Monday through Friday 10:00AM – 6:00PM and Saturday 10:00AM – 3:00PM. Depending on availability, requested materials may be available as early as next day pick-up. Documents printed or emailed are available same day.
BY CAR: Please park in a parking spot and call (727) 893-1074. You will need to provide a member with your library card number and a description of your vehicle. A staff member will walk your item(s)
to your car. Please have your ID ready or library card. The items will be handed to you through your window.
BY BIKE OR WALKING: If you plan on arriving by bike or walking, please maintain social distance from other patrons waiting for items outside the library. Please call 727-893-1074 and provide your library card number. A staff member will walk your items out to you.
Staff will wear a mask and gloves when delivering items. Please be patient if there is a line and follow CDC safety recommendations.
