Gulfport Public Safety Night

Gulfport Public Safety Night

We have a new name and a new venue location! Mark your calendars and plan to get to know your neighbor and our 1st responders! The date is set for the City of Gulfport’s Public Safety Night (formally Gulfport Night Out). This interactive community event is on Thursday, October 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Michael J. Yakes Recreation Complex at 5730 Shore Blvd. S. in Gulfport.

All residents can meet our officers from the Gulfport Police Department, Gulfport Fire Department and other community partners. Check out Gulfport’s Police and Fire vehicles as well as the Marine unit.  Neighborhood Watch will be on hand to discuss how you can get involved in your own neighborhood.  C.E.R.T. also will offer information on other volunteer opportunities for emergency situations. The Gulfport Library and the Gulfport Police Department will host children’s activities. Our gracious venue hosts, the Gulfport Recreation Center along with Gulfport Teen Council will be on hand to share activities, programs and the teens will donate one special prize basket.

Tampa Bay Ray’s gear, bicycles, prize baskets and our grand prize, a Ring 2 doorbell are just some of the many giveaways we have in store. For more information, please contact Gail Biron at gbiron@mygulfport.us  or call 727-893-1049.

We welcome all to meet your neighbors, friends and community partners while coming together for neighborhood awareness. Ample parking is available at the Gulfport Beach parking lot on Shore Blvd. S. Gulfport’s Public Safety Night is a free event organized by the Gulfport Police Department and the city of Gulfport.
