Whether you served in the military or serve on the volleyball court, join in the City of Gulfport and VETsports Heroes Weekend on Saturday, November 11. It’s a great way for the community to participate in Veteran’s Day while giving back to local Veterans.

For your safety and for the safety of others, throwing of candy, toys or other objects is strictly prohibited during the parade due to the potential for serious injury. Participants on foot may distribute candy or other items by handing them to spectators.The consumption of alcohol or other illegal substances is strictly prohibited before and during the parade. Anyone suspected of being in violation of this policy will be asked to leave immediately.The applicant accepts and agrees that all parties affiliated with the event shall defend, indemnify and hold harmless the City of Gulfport, Florida and all of the City of Gulfport’s officers, agents, and employees from and against all claims, liability, loss and expense, including reasonable costs, collection expenses, attorneys' fees, and court costs which may arise because of the negligence (whether active or passive), misconduct, or other fault, in whole or in part (whether joint, concurrent, or contributing), in performance or nonperformance of the obligations in this agreement. The Applicant acknowledges the broad nature of this indemnification and hold harmless clause, as well as the provision of a legal defense to the City and voluntarily enters into this. Compliance with any insurance requirements required elsewhere within this agreement shall not relieve the applicant of its liability and obligation to defend, hold harmless and indemnify the City. Nothing contained in this section shall be considered a waiver of the City’s rights under sovereign immunity or Florida Statute §768.28.The applicant accepts and understands to fully comply with the provisions of the City of Gulfport's Code of Ordinances Chapter 26 - CIVIL RIGHTS (City's Human Rights Ordinance).The Applicant accepts, understands, and assumes all risk associated with entering into the event activities.The Applicant agrees to the TERMS as set forth in this agreement, and agrees to abide by all rules and regulations as provided. The Applicant represents and warrants full right and authority to enter into this Agreement. This Agreement constitutes a valid and legally binding obligation of the Applicant, enforceable in accordance with its terms.
