LIBRARY PAGE– Routine manual and clerical work in removing and shelving books, periodicals, and other print and non-print library materials, and performing related tasks. Responsible for keeping the library neat and orderly and for assistant other staff in carrying out a variety of library programs and activities. Some knowledge of the purposes and function of public libraries. Excellent internal and external customer service skills. Ability to learn routine library procedures readily. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, and to work independently. Ability to work flexible hours and weekends. Ability and willingness to preform manual labor at a rapid pace and sufficient physical strength and agility to do continuous physical activity. Ability to lift 35 pounds and to push and pull heavy objects. Job requires standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, crawling, bending, stooping and reaching. P/T LIBRARY ASSISTANT I– Specialized technical and clerical support and public contract work, suing personal computers and an online cataloging and circulation system. Work requires independent judgment and action within well-established policies and procedures. Work also requires a high-level of customer service. Position is under the direct supervision of the circulation manager. Work with patrons and maintain high level o customer service even in difficult situations. Work with computerized circulation software and other library databases and websites. Maintains the operations of the circulation desk according to established procedures. Checks out books and other materials. Processes new library cards. Maintains records of fines and fees. Maintains orderly flow of returned materials; shelves books, replace other materials. Process library materials. Empties book drop. Assist in the search and recovery of library materials. Monitors and replenishes supplies from centralized stock for staff and patrons. Assist with programs and special projects. Assist with computers and computer sign-ups. Performs related work as required. F/T TEAM LEAD– Responsible for generating all utility and marina customer billing, preparing work orders, making changes to the customer databases and accepting utility, marina and all cash receipt payments into the system. The Team Lead acts as a liaison between the administrative services technicians, and the accounting manager in the areas of process improvements, escalated customer concerns and troubleshooting software. Receives service fees from the public and prepares customer receipts. Balances cash on hand against receipts. Submits forms regarding fees collected for private utilities. Checks and verifies data and corrects inaccuracies. Receives and processes requests from the public for the initiation and discontinuance of City utility services. Resolves customer issues and complaints and meets with customers who have unresolved concerns. Schedules all aspects of utility billing. Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual utility billing and reports. Processes and reviews delinquent statements, service charges and terminations. Prepares delinquent notices and other follow up letters to customers. Ability to handle switchboard duties. Responsible to coordinate and report to the Accounting Manager regarding account billing/collection schedules and workloads of the Administrative Service Technicians as well as identify problems and recommend improvements to the accounting and billing system. Knowledge of the principles and practices of cashiering. Knowledge of modern office procedures, methods and equipment. Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to receive cash and make change quickly and accurately. Ability to exercise good judgement while making decisions in accordance with policies, regulations and procedures. Ability to operate a computer terminal. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing. Knowledge of computer utilization in utility billing operations. Knowledge of standard software applications including Word and Excel. Ability to communicate well with customers, on the phone, by letter and in person. Ability to deal with people effectively and diplomatically. Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. Four (4) years’ experience in customer service work including two (2) years in a supervisory or lead worker capacity. Prior experience in a utility operation in municipal environment is desirable. F/T PRE-SCHOOL TEACHER – Teacher in charge of a preschool enrichment program/VPK (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten) program with responsibility for curriculum development, material preparation and classroom instruction. Work is performed under the direction of the Recreation Services Supervisor, but initiative and independent judgement are frequently exercised. Established curriculum plan for a blended enrichment program/VPK that meets the needs of three, four and five-year old children. Prepares monthly calendars, newsletters, field trips, guest speakers, special events and other communications as needed. Organizes classroom area and materials. Prepares all materials for following day instruction. Set up and breakdown of areas used daily. Performs VPK assessments and Ages & Stages Questionnaires. Attends to injuries and accidents, investigates and reports accidents as required by regulations. Knowledge of development needs or preschool age children. Knowledge of methods and skills needed for classroom management. Knowledge of first aid methods and techniques. Ability to demonstrate leadership in a preschool environment. Ability to resolve disputes and discipline with firmness and impartiality. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, children and staff. Two years’ experience in a preschool program, high school diploma or equivalency, CDA credential and/or Forma Education Qualification, level II background, Emergent Literacy and Performance Standards, CPR/First Aid Certification and Affidavit of Good Moral Character.
