We cannot take anonymous complaints anymore. As of July 1, 2021, Chapter 162 of the Florida Statutes was amended to preclude staff from initiating code enforcement proceedings by way of anonymous complaints. A person who reports a potential violation of a code or an ordinance must provide their name and address to the respective local government. Any personal information provided in any manner becomes part of the public record, which anyone has the right to review.
