Under the City Code, a short-term (or tourist) rental is a property that is:
- Rented or advertised for stays of less than one month, and
- Used this way more than three times within a 12-month period.
This definition applies regardless of ownership, whether the occupant owns
part of the property, or whether payment is made through a formal lease,
online platform, or other arrangement.
