Mayor Karen Love highlights Pinellas County’s People First Hurricane Recovery Program and encourages Gulfport residents impacted by the 2024 storms to apply for available assistance. With more than 600 properties reviewed for storm damage in Gulfport, only 168 applications have been submitted so far, and the Mayor urges homeowners, renters, landlords, and condo owners to take advantage of the program. Eligible residents may qualify for repair assistance, reimbursement for completed work, rental displacement support, or help purchasing a home outside the floodplain. In-person application assistance with case managers will be available at the Gulfport Public Library during pop-up events next week.
