Take Two on Tuesday (3/10/2026) – New Gulfport Environmental Team

Mayor Karen Love introduces Dean Hay and the newly formed Gulfport Environmental Team (G.E.T.), a volunteer group of citizen scientists focused on environmental issues in the city. The group aims to educate residents, advocate for environmental stewardship, and provide recommendations to city leadership. Their first project is a citywide tree inventory to document trees in rights-of-way and front yards, helping identify vulnerabilities and guide future tree planting for community resilience. Residents interested in participating are encouraged to connect with the group through Gulfport Connect or their social media pages.
