“Take 2 on Tuesdays” is a new way for the City of Gulfport to connect with you, our residents, neighbors, and local businesses. It is another great initiative from Mayor Love.
📅 Every Tuesday at 2 PM we’ll post a two-minute video focused on hot topics in the City. This weeks edition is on Code Enforcement.
It’s a simple, transparent way to stay informed and engaged in everything that makes Gulfport such a special place to live.

Code Enforcement – What Residents Should Expect
Code enforcement begins with a complaint, followed by an inspection to confirm whether a violation exists. If a violation is found, the City sends a notice explaining what needs to be fixed and provides time to come into compliance before any further action is taken. The City’s goal is compliance—not fines—and staff will work with residents who communicate and need more time. Fines or liens are only considered if violations are ignored and referred to a magistrate.
