Take Two on Tuesday (3/3/2026) – Council Farewell & Major Infrastructure Updates

Mayor Karen Love announced that tonight’s City Council meeting will include a formal farewell to Council Member Jackson and Vice Mayor Thanos, with new members to be sworn in on March 17. The meeting will feature four major presentations focused on Gulfport’s future and ongoing storm recovery efforts. These include revised stormwater plans from the City’s engineering firm, phased Senior Center expansion concepts, additional information on allowing accessory dwelling units (ADUs), and updates on the Safe Streets initiative along 49th Street. The session is positioned as a forward-looking discussion centered on infrastructure, housing, and improvements.
