Vice Mayor – Ward II Representative – Christine Brown

I am your city council representative for Ward 2 and a 30 year resident of this great community.  Your city council works daily with our city manager to ensure that our community of Gulfport is the best place to live, work and play.

Your current council has maintained a well-balanced priority list of projects throughout our city.  We are focused on necessary infrastructure improvements as well as parks and recreational projects, both directly enhancing the lives of our residents.  Street maintenance, alleyways and sidewalks are a budgetary priority each year.  Thanks to a great staff, much energy is directed towards securing grant funding for many of these projects.  We have several exciting plans in the queue for the upcoming fiscal year as well.

It is an honor and privilege to serve all the residents of the city of Gulfport.  I am proud to call Gulfport a full service city.  The city manager, staff, work crews, police and fire all work hard to ensure that our city is safe and all residents have access to a good quality of life.
